29th Dynasty of Egypt (Mendesian)
399–380 BCE
The 29th Dynasty came from Mendes in the Delta and began with Nepherites I, who overthrew Amyrtaeus. Its kings, including Achoris, allied with Greek city-states and defended Egypt against renewed Persian pressure.
The dynasty ended in a struggle over the succession that brought Nectanebo I to the throne.
